Obituary
Michael Anthony Moran was born July 6, 1977 in Rochester, Penn. the son of James Thomas and Angelika (Schottenhamer) Moran. He passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 46.
Surviving Mike are his father, Tommy Moran (Olivia) of Tamarak, Flo.; his daughters, Katalina Moran and Novelynn Moran of Cortez; his sister, Tanya Honea (Kevin) of Fayetteville, Tenn; by his nieces, Staci Honea and Anna Honea of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his mother.
The Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation is assisting the Cortez Police Department during this time. Monetary donations to Sergeant Moran’s family may be made through the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation. All donations to the CFHF will go towards funeral expenses and support for the Moran Family and Cortez Police Department.
